Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:

  1. The Albuquerque Fire Department responded to an early morning fire at a single-story commercial building on Thursday. The incident occurred on Central Avenue and 10th Street NW after smoke was seen billowing from the roof of an abandoned building. Crews were able to control the fire within 30 minutes with 32 firefighters. The cause of the blaze has not been determined. (KOB)
  2. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined with the Albuquerque Police Department in the search for a man suspected of robbing four local banks. The most recent robbery occurred in Southwest Albuquerque on Wednesday afternoon. A reward of $2,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. (KOB)
  3. A recent report by the American Lung Association has found that Albuquerque's air quality is getting worse. The report is meant to rank the nation's cities based on ozone contaminants found in air samples. The association has however recognized the efforts that New Mexico has recently enacted to curb the issue. (KSFR)
