Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:
- The Albuquerque City Council repealed the Clean & Green Ordinance during Monday's council meeting. The ordinance banned single-use plastics for retailers in the city. Mayor Keller expressed his disappointment that the city council did not wait for the commissioned impact study before repealing the ban. (KOAT New Mexico)
- Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews responded to two different tent fires on Tuesday morning. The first fire was near First Street and Mountain. The second fire was near Third Street and Aspen. Crews found a dead man inside the tent on First Street and Mountain. The Albuquerque Police Department is currently investigating the incidents. (KRQE News 13)
- Dalton Cunningham has agreed to a plea deal in connection to a shootout with the Albuquerque Police Department in 2021 and for stealing a bait car. Cunningham will serve 27 years in prison. He will serve two years of parole after his prison sentence. (KRQE News 13)
