Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:
- A new state report is suggesting that Albuquerque Public Schools cuts costs and combine classrooms. The report is due to a 17 percent decline in enrollment that the district has been experiencing for the last decade. The report is asking the district to adjust its workforce and infrastructure to adhere to the reality it is facing. (KRQE News 13)
- Albuquerque's Gathering of Nations is returning this weekend at Tingley Coliseum. The three-day event will involve Native dancing, singing, arts, and unique experiences. About 300 different tribes will be present at the event. Click the link to purchase your tickets. (KRQE News 13)
- An Albuquerque-based committee is reviewing recent changes to the city council district maps. The citizen-led Redistricting Committee is looking at the political boundaries after lopsided population growth put the districts out of balance.
