- New Mexico Congresswoman and US Rep. Stansbury says she has tested positive for COVID-19. Stansbury is fully vaccinated, citing this a breakthrough case with mild respiratory symptoms. She is urging all New Mexicans to get vaccinated and take good care of one another. (Albuquerque Journal)
- Across the state of New Mexico, counties are preparing for National Guard to come in as substitute teachers. This move is a part of the governor's Supporting Teachers and Families initiative, helping fill hundreds of vacancies in schools across the state. While this is just a short term solution to a problem in the state's education system, Superintendent Arsenio Romero is working to make these new substitutes supported parts of the community. (KOB)
- An Albuquerque massage parlor employee was murdered Monday night. 18-year-old Jorge Rivera-Ramirez was seen spotted by surveillance footage attempting to rob victim Sihui Fang before a shootout occurred. Rivera-Ramirez has since been connected with a string of massage-parlor robberies in Albuquerque and has been arrested for Fang's murder. (KOAT New Mexico)
