Here are the top three stories today in Albuquerque:
- Albuquerque City Councilor Dan Lewis sponsored a resolution banning vaccine requirements for city employees. The city councilor wants the resolution to provide peace of mind for its employees about choosing between a vaccine and their job. Opponents of the resolution are concerned the ban would inhibit a healthy workforce. (KSFR)
- Mechenbier Construction is planning a 9,400 square foot speculative industrial space for Northeast Albuquerque. The new space will cost about $1.2 million. The company switched to commercial and industrial construction in 2005. (Albuquerque Journal)
- The Albuquerque City Council is deciding how to proceed with public marijuana use in the city. Recreational sales will begin Apr. 1 across the state. Currently, it is illegal to consume marijuana in public at the state level but some city councilors are concerned about how the city will enforce that law. (KOAT New Mexico)
