- Albuquerque-based mPower Technology raised $10 million during Series B funding round. The company produces solar cells for spacecraft and will use the funding to expand its footprint with a new facility in New Mexico. The company plans to break ground on the new facility in 2022 and hopes to double its employee base. (Albuquerque Business First)
- Albuquerque Police and the Mayor are asking for our community's help in solving the West Mesa murders. Police report they have a list of potential suspects but they would appreciate any tips in narrowing down the list. In 2020, a park was opened at the burial site of the murder victims to memorialize them. (KRQE News 13)
- A woman accused of shoplifting at an Albuquerque area Walmart fired shots at the store as she drove away. Police report that they have identified the shooter and are currently working on an arrest warrant. Former KRQE anchor Dick Knipfing was at the store buying groceries and provided a first-hand account of the chaos that followed the shots. (KRQE News 13)
