Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:

  1. Residents have been asked to evacuate as a fire south of Albuquerque has consumed 300 acres. Fire officials report that the blaze is not contained and is affecting roughly five thousand individuals in roughly five different neighborhoods. The Valencia County Fire Department is asking the community to stay clear of the Bosque north of Rio communities. (CNN.com)
  2. Bernalillo County's District Attorney Raul Torrez is asking a judge to rule against the New Mexico Civil Guard militia group. The ruling would end a two-year-old lawsuit brought against the group to end its actions as an unauthorized military or police force. A jury trial has been slated for December 2022. (KRQE.com)
  3. The New Mexico History Museum is opening a new exhibit commemorating 100 years of Santa Fe's Indian Market. The exhibit will reportedly display over 200 examples of artwork by Indian Market artists. The exhibit has an opening date set for August. (KRQE.com)
