New York, New York — The 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. is reaffirming its commitment to education as one of the organization’s critical pillars under the nationally recognized “Four For The Future.”® mission framework.
Through education, mentoring, health and wellness, and economic empowerment, the organization continues to work toward building stronger communities and creating pathways to success for African American youth and families throughout Eastern New York.
The organization believes education is more than classroom instruction it is a pathway to opportunity, leadership, confidence, and long-term economic mobility.
In communities where educational disparities continue to impact outcomes for many young people, the role of positive male leadership, mentorship, and academic support has never been more important.
“Education changes lives, strengthens families, and transforms communities,” said Phil Andrews, Founding President of the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. “When young people are exposed to mentors, leadership opportunities, academic support, and positive role models, they begin to see greater possibilities for themselves and their futures. Our commitment is to help close opportunity gaps while building the next generation of leaders.”
Founded as one of the newest chapters of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. was incorporated in New York State on December 27, 2021. The chapter serves communities across Eastern New York with a mission centered on improving the quality of life within African American communities through leadership, advocacy, mentoring, and community service.
The chapter’s educational initiatives are designed to expose youth to academic achievement, career exploration, leadership development, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and college and career readiness opportunities. Through strategic partnerships with schools, businesses, community organizations, elected officials, and civic leaders, the organization aims to create sustainable opportunities that positively impact future generations.

Under the leadership of Founding President Phil Andrews, the organization has continued to expand its visibility and community impact throughout the region. Andrews is widely recognized as a respected business leader, chamber executive, advocate for minority-owned businesses, and longtime civic leader whose work has focused on advancing economic and educational opportunities throughout New York.
In addition to his leadership with the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc., Andrews has played a key role in supporting entrepreneurship, mentoring emerging leaders, and creating partnerships that connect communities with resources and opportunities. His leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration, service, accountability, and building sustainable institutions that leave a lasting impact.
The organization is now issuing a strong call to professional African American men throughout Eastern New York to become members and actively support the mission of the organization.
