Genesee County Man Wins $1M On NY Lottery Scratch Ticket
The Batavia resident won one of only three top prizes in the lottery's 25X The Cash scratch-off game.
BATAVIA, NY — A Genesee County man is $1 million richer after claiming the top prize in New York Lottery’s 25X The Cash scratch-off game.
Carl Ribbeck Jr. of Batavia purchased his winning ticket at Harry’s Niagara, located at 563 East Main St. in Batavia, lottery officials announced in a news release.
In 25X The Cash, players must match any of their numbers to a winning number to win the prize shown. Players also have a chance to win anywhere from five times to 25 times the prize shown.

Only three $1 million top prizes were available, according to the lottery officials. Ribbeck won the final top prize. Players can still cash lower-tier prizes through Feb. 16, 2023.
