Windsor Police Chief Cleared In Review
An independent investigation cleared Police Chief Donald Melanson regarding his handling of a dashcam video.

WINDSOR, CT - An independent review body found that Chief Donald Melanson did not violate the department's policies or state law in disposing of a dashcam video from a February incident, according to the Hartford Courant. The review board did state that Melanson should have retained the dashcam tape once the crash victim filed a complaint about the officer involved.
The review board recommended the department update its policies on retaining videos.
