ALBANY, NY – Mayor Kathy Sheehan will join state and local partners to highlight substantial completion of Phase One of the South End Connector – the connection between the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail and the Mohawk Hudson Hike-Bike Trail (the City’s first physically separated two-way cycle track).
In addition to highlighting substantial completion of Phase One, Mayor Sheehan will announce the kick-off of Phase Two – a project that will engage the South End community to activate the space surrounding the South End Connector underneath Interstate 787.
Members of the Albany Bicycle Coalition will also be on hand for an inaugural ride after the event.
