Nearly 300 years later, Albany's Van Ostrande-Radliff House begins a new chapter (timesunion.com) — Albany's oldest known house at 48 Hudson Avenue has reopened as the Historic Albany Foundation's restored headquarters, offering tours, classroom space, and a preservation library. After a $3 million, 13-year effort, the 1728 Van Ostrande-Radliff House now anchors local education on the city's Dutch roots and will host community programs and events downtown.

Kathy Hochul's CAP Initiative (albanystudentpress.com) — A major $400 million state initiative is set to reshape downtown Albany and nearby neighborhoods, and UAlbany students are weighing in on how it should be spent. Students share differing views on priorities like public safety, housing, and cleaning up downtown, while also worrying about displacement of current residents. Their perspectives highlight how CAP's investments could affect off-campus living, transportation, and everyday life in the city.
3. 'A tremendous legacy,' Hochul says of late Albany Chabad rabbi (vinnews.com) — Albany's Jewish community is mourning Rabbi Yisroel Rubin, the longtime Chabad-Lubavitch leader who spent more than 50 years building schools, centers, and outreach across the Capital Region. Remembered by Gov. Kathy Hochul for his "tremendous legacy," he founded Maimonides School in Albany and continued teaching and writing on Jewish law even during his recent illness.
4. Albany Convention Center unveils 4,400-square-foot mural (news10.com) — A massive new mural called "Nothing but Flowers" now brightens the Albany Capital Center expansion site at 126 State Street, celebrating growth, renewal, and community pride.
