DUNE: A Timeless Classic Turned Block-Buster
The Dune is an epic science fiction adaptation of Frank Herbert's 1965 novel "Dune" which is a counter-culture, geo-political sci-fi story.

The novel is considered a classic masterpiece established on eco-radicalism, anti-corporate and Saharan concepts. These multitude of aspects that the story encompasses has led to mega-producers and filming studios to pursue the ideal film adaption of the story. This film adaption, Dune, directed by Denis Villeneuve picturizes the epic tale and magnificent scenes brilliantly. The movie dazzles the screen with a brilliant cast comprising of celebrities like Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Issac, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa and Stellan Skarsgard.
Premise of Dune
The story of Dune is set in a distant future where humanity is now capable of interstellar travel, and has settled on various planets in the galaxy. Humans are divided into various families or houses, each having their own motives and beliefs.
Humanity although scattered in the stars, is still ruled by a mysterious emperor whose motives come into play, leading to a power struggle between the two great houses called the Harkonnen and Atreides, who struggle to take control of the desert planet of Arrakis. The house in control of Arrakis is bound to be the superior one as the planet is the only source of Spice, a rare substance which is both a hallucinogenic and energy source and without which interstellar travel is impossible.

No story is incomplete without the influence of higher beings, in this case, the Sisterhood of Bene Gessirit, who are capable of using The Voice, a sacred dialect of speech that compels the listener to obey the commands of the speaker.
The lead of the story is Paul Atreides, the young heir of House Atreides reining the rainy planet of Caladan. The role is played by the talented Timothee Chalamet and depicts the eventual rise of Paul to be the Lisan al-Gaibor the Messiah, a glimmer of hope for the suppressed people of Arrakis, called the Fremen. Timothee plays the character to the fullest, depicting the burden of the Messia hand the ulterior destiny promised to him through the visions. The portrayal of Paul by Timothee is accurate to the core and communicates the complexity of the character to the audience through his slumped shoulders and wary voice.

So it means that the producers did not neglect any details in Dune, including its website and social media.
Numbers are open in the Internet: Dune has 103,499 Facebook likes, 112,894 Facebook followers, 515K Instagram followers and 152K Twitter followers. This shows the public support to the movie, as another real big success off the radar.
Conclusion
In the end, it can be rightly said that Denis Villeneuve turned a timeless sci-fi classic into a blockbuster. The talented casting and the delicious color palette are a beautiful take on the 1965 novel. The production budget was considerable too. However, what distinguishes this Dune from the other, is the director's unique sense of directorial passion, and he indeed does justice to the story.
