"Kolstein Performance Artist" Gives Schenectady Concerts 7-23, 8-24

“Kolstein Performance Artist” Mike Bisio will be performing this coming Sunday, July 23th, 5 PM at the First Reformed Church of Schenectady, 8 North Church Street. He will be joined by a jazz music group, Ormettiquitte, performing Jazz Vespers.

Mike Bisio has another performance date at Jazz on Jay, 150 Jay Street in Schenectady on Thursday, August 24th at Noon.

Mike Bisio uses several double bass instruments: He commissioned a custom-made Carcassi Model Bass crafted by prominent luthier Barrie Kolstein, a Kolstein restored Boosey Hawkes bass, and a smaller Kolstein travel bass.

Mike Bisio, has many credentials including his rank by All About Jazz as #36 out of 200 top jazz bassists in the world. He has just released his 40th record album under Origin Records, “Inside Voice, Outside Voice” together with guitarist Timothy Hill---and he enjoys a wide cult following of jazz enthusiasts.
