Lamborghini For Highest Bidder: OGS Auction In Albany
Two other luxury cars seized by the state will also be up for auction Nov. 8, along with other items officials want off their hands.

ALBANY, NY — Want a Lamborghini? Or a BMW convertible, or a vintage Porsche? The New York State Office of General Services will auction them off to the public, plus other surplus vehicles and equipment, on Nov. 8 in Albany.
The 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Nera two-door coupe was seized by the Attorney General’s Office in 2014 following an investigation into a $9.9 million Medicaid fraud case in the Bronx, OGS officials said in the announcement. That same investigation netted a 2013 Mercedes G63, a 2012 Porsche Cayenne, and a 2012 Audi A7. They've already been auctioned off.
The Lamborghini has a black exterior with an engine hood that features a transparent glass panel. It has a 10-cylinder, 5.0-liter/303-cubic-inch, 493-horsepower aluminum engine with 6,316 miles on it and a six-speed, e-shift automatic transmission. Proceeds from its sale will be transferred to the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Unit.

The November 8 auction will also feature two other luxury cars: a 2012 BMW 650 convertible with about 35,924 miles on its odometer and a 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera will about 42,010 miles on it. Both of those were seized by the Department of Motor Vehicles after they were reported stolen in separate incidents, OGS officials said.
The surplus vehicle, highway equipment, and miscellaneous property auction is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at the Harriman State Office Building Campus in Albany. Items being sold will be available for inspection starting at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the auction.
