A car crash in Long Island City Friday has injured five people, according to the FDNY.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A car crash in Long Island City Friday has injured five people, according to the FDNY.
The crash happened about 3:19 p.m. at the intersection of Thomson and Skillman Aves. Emergency responders rushed five people with non-life-threatening injuries to local hospitals, the FDNY said.
Video posted to Citizen shows fire trucks and emergency responders at the scene.

The crash Friday is near the site where a driver in 2013 killed Drudak Tenzin, 16, and injured four others after jumping the curb on Thomson Ave.
The NYC Department of Transportation is in the process of adding temporary safety measures by the intersection of Thomson and Skillman Aves., the Queens Chronicle reported in January.
