QUEENS, NY — A motorcycle rider died after crashing on the Queensboro Bridge on Thursday.
The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. on the Manhattan-bound ramp near Thomson Avenue.
According to police, a 2025 Yamaha R7 motorcycle was traveling on the bridge when the 29-year-old driver struck the left median.
The rider was thrown from his bike and suffered severe trauma, police said.
The man, identified as Luis Cadena, was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
An investigation remains ongoing.
