ASTORIA, QUEENS — Police are searching for a man who broke into six Astoria homes and stole over $50,000 worth of goods.

A man broke into six homes across Astoria, Ditmars Steinway and Dutch Kills in March, stealing over $44,000 worth of jewelry and a Ducati motorcycle, police said. The stolen jewelry included Cartier and Omega watches, diamond rings and tennis bracelets. The man also took a MacBook Pro, bottles of wine, clothing and a bicycle, according to police.

The break-ins happened between March 12 and March 26 across northwestern Queens at 21st St and 21st Ave., 29th St. and 21st Ave., 45th St. and 21st Ave., 41st Ave. and 22nd St. and two homes near 76th St. and 20th Ave., police said.

Police described the suspect as between 45 and 50 years old and said he drives a maroon Ford Explorer.
