Easter Parade: a holiday tradition

Every time I watch the movie Easter Parade, I'm aware that there were cast changes along the way in the production. I'm happy with the final choice of Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in the leads though I can easily picture Gene Kelly as Don Hughes. Frank Sinatra would has been good as Johnny but Peter Lawford worked just fine. I imagine that Sinatra would have been included in the Girl on the Magazine Cover number though I don't see how it would have been justified.

Jene le Gon was an okay maid but it's sad that she never got to dance in so many of her films.

I like Ann Miller but Cud Charisse would have been a better fit as Nadine as she was supposed to have been a more exotic dancer than Hannah Brown. The Ann Miller version was more of a hoofer.

I would love to have seen how Garland would have been in the proposed follow up, The Barclays of Broadway but Ginger Rogers worked beautifully.
