LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A live podcast show in Long Island City is getting heat for inviting right-wing extremist and former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos to guest star on Monday.

Comedy podcast Legion of Skanks, which tapes live at The Creek and The Cave in Long Island City, announced that Yiannopoulos would feature in its May 27 show, prompting a flood of comments demanding the club cancel the event.

Legion of Skanks has called itself "the most offensive podcast on Earth."

"By giving Milo Yiannopoulos a platform, you're enabling racists and idiots like this," one Twitter user wrote. "Drop this show and the idiots hosting it. You're doing a disservice to the neighborhood."

Rebecca Trent, owner of The Creek and The Cave, told QNS.com that once she heard about the plan she asked the podcasters to move the event to a different venue. The comedy club is now caught in the middle of the controversy, with some calling for a boycott of the venue.

"Sorry, creek, loved ya but this is a real bad look," one person said on Twitter.

"When my wife and I joined Queens DSA protests against Amazon HQ2, protecting local businesses like The Creek and The Cave was at the top of our minds," another user tweeted. "This feels like personal betrayal."
