Queens Dems To Host 2020 Candidate Pete Buttigieg For Town Hall

The Queens Democratic Party is hosting the first in a series of presidential town halls on Wednesday with South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — The Queens Democratic Party is hosting a town hall on Wednesday with 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg.

NY1 Anchor Cheryl Wills will interview Buttigieg at LaGuardia Community College for the first in a series of presidential town halls hosted by the Queens Democratic Party, according to a news release.

Buttigieg, 37, is the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and a former Naval intelligence officer. If he wins the Democratic primary, he would be the first openly gay presidential nominee from a major political party.

LaGuardia students and other audience members will be able to submit questions for a Q&A round. The interview will air on NY1.
