Registration is now open for the 5th Annual LaGuardia Community Run/Walk, a 5K race through Long Island City taking place on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Hosted by LaGuardia Community College/CUNY, the event welcomes runners and walkers of all fitness levels, ages 7 and older, and raises funds for the College’s Office of Immigrant Student Empowerment (OISE), which supports immigrant and immigration-impacted students through individualized guidance, advocacy, referrals, leadership development opportunities, and community-building programs.

“The LaGuardia Community Run/Walk has become a wonderful tradition that brings together students, alumni, employees, neighbors, and friends in support of an important cause,” said President Kenneth Adams. “As we celebrate the event’s fifth year, we’re proud to strengthen community connections while raising support for immigrant students.”
