Richards Approves Rezoning Around Astoria's Neptune Diner: Report
The Neptune Diner would be demolishedunder the plan from MDM Development, the report said.

ASTORIA, QUEENS, NY — The Queens Borough President has conditionally approved an application to rezone part of an Astoria street for three new residential buildings, according to a report.
The plan would bring affordable housing buildings on the east side of 31st Street between Astoria Boulevard North and 24th Avenue, according to the Astoria Post. The Neptune Diner would be demolishedunder the plan from MDM Development, the report said.
Donovan Richards issued the approval Oct. 29 despite opposition, the Astoria Post reported. Queens Community Board 1 rejected the planearlier in October by a vote of 25 to 4.
