2 Children Seriously Injured After Car Crashes Into Fence
A total of 5 people were injured in the crash on the Southern State Tuesday night.

WEST BABYLON, NY - Two children were seriously injured after a car crashed into a fence on the Southern State Parkway in West Babylon on Tuesday night, according to State Police.
A 2005 Honda Accord driven by 30-year-old Elvia G. Navarrette Ochoa, of Connecticut was headed westbound on the parkway when it left the roadway and struck a fence near Wellwood Avenue at about 6:25 p.m.
An 8-year-old passenger from Huntington Station is unresponsive in an intubated state at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, police said.

Another passenger, a 7-year-old, also of Huntington Station, received a severe head laceration.
In addition, additional passengers, a 6-year-old and Elba Ochoa Alfaro, 44 years old, both of Huntington Station, suffered minor injuries.

Navarrette Ochoa suffered minor injuries.
