21-Year-Old Woman Fatally Stabbed On New Year's Day: PD

A man was charged with murder after stabbing a 21-year-old woman to death outside her West Babylon home, police say.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A man was arrested and charged with murder after stabbing a 21-year-old woman to death in West Babylon Saturday, Suffolk County Police said.

Kisjonne Campbell-Anderson, 24, of Brooklyn was charged with second-degree murder after visiting the Chelsea Avenue home of Michaelle Jaccis, an acquaintance, police said. At about 1:40 p.m., Campbell-Anderson and Jaccis began arguing outside the home; the dispute then turned physical and Campbell-Anderson stabbed Jaccis, police said.

Jaccis was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Campbell-Anderson was arranged at First District Court in Central Islip.
