8th Annual Sounds of Silence 5k Run/Walk/Stroller-walk with a Kids Fun Run

This annual event is held in Memory of Lisa Mary Reilly and takes place to raise awareness of the number one complication of pregnancy - Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD) - which includes Postpartum Depression as well as raise funds for the essential programs and services of the Postpartum Resource Center of New York.

A special focus of the event is the Lisa Mary Reilly Visioning Educational Series, which is part of Project 62™ - Building a Perinatal Mental Wellness Parent Support Network and Safety Net in every New York State community.

5K Run/Walk/Stroller-Walk

Saturday, May 14, 2016 (rain or shine)

Day of Event Registration: 8:00-9:00am

Starts at 9:30am Sharp!

COURSE: Flat course on the beautiful Jones Beach Boardwalk overlooking the Ocean. Yoga warm up, Raffles, Prizes, Music, Awards and post run refreshments.

Awards and Prizes: Top overall male, female, and under 18 runners, top fundraiser, top fundraising team. Top male and female recognition in specified age groups. Commemorative t-shirts for anyone that registers by 11:59pm April 29th!

RAFFLES: Designer products, gift certificates and more. Participants need to be present to win. Sounds of Silence, Friends of the Postpartum Resource Center of New York, thank you in advance for your contribution to support a worthy cause.

AGE GROUPS: 12 & Under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

KIDS FUN RUN: Takes place after the 5K at about 10:30am. Open to children under 10 and their parents can get in on the action too!

VIRTUAL RUNNER: Can't attend but would still like to participate? You can do that too. Register as a Virtual Runner at the registration page
