BABYLON, NY — Cherry, a 1-year-old tan pit bull terrier, is Babylon Animal Shelter's Pet Of The Week. Volunteers said the brown-eyed beauty arrived at the shelter on July 20, 2020.
A volunteer writes:
"Cherry is a very sweet girl. She is shy to meet new people but once she gets to know you, she will never forget you. Cherry loves to play with her toys and have a game of fetch. She is a silly girl when out for walks as she will stop, drop, and roll with no notice!"

Cherry "absolutely loves" belly rubs and enjoys lying with people for one-on-one time, the volunteer said.
Before she came to the shelter, Cherry lived a life outdoors, and she will need time to acclimate to being inside a home.

Cherry will fit best in a home without young kids or other pets, volunteers said.
