Babylon Business Students Take a Trip to Met Life Stadium
Account, Marketing and Virtual Enterprise Students Take Part in Jets Sports Business Day
A group of 64 Babylon Junior-Senior High School business students recently took a trip to Met Life Stadium to take part in Jets Sports Business Day. The trip gave students in accounting, marketing and virtual enterprise classes the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the sports industry.
Students spoke to Jets team employees from a number of departments, including ticket sales, media, advertising, finance, fan engagement and more. They also had the opportunity to tour the team’s locker room and other areas of the stadium, including the luxury boxes and specialty areas.
Students learned about the background and history of the Jets organization, the operation’s function as a franchise in the NFL, and different internship opportunities. The trip was organized by Babylon business teacher Claire Reilly.
