Babylon DECA Students Get a Taste of the Iced Tea Business

State Qualifiers Take a Field Trip to the Arizona Beverages HQ

A group of 2024 state qualifiers from Babylon Junior-Senior High School’s DECA Club recently took at a trip to the Arizona Beverages headquarters in Woodbury, N.Y. The trip gave the business students an opportunity to learn about how major corporations function.

During the trip, Babylon students met with Arizona executives, including Chief Executive Officer Don Vultaggio, the company’s executive vice president of finance, executive vice president of marketing and the director of sales among others. The students learned about the career paths of these executives at a successful company, business factors such as supply chain and inflation issues, new product development, marketing, and media messaging.
