Babylon Elementary Walks to Make a Difference

School participates in International Walk to School Day.

Recognizing the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and conserving the environment, Babylon Elementary School students, staff and families participated in International Walk to School Day in early October.

Forgoing traditional means of transportation, participants joined the event by walking from their homes or nearby locations to the school. Upon arriving, students received a paper sneaker to decorate and memorialize their involvement in the program.

The school has participated in the program for the past seven years. International Walk to School is celebrated by millions of individuals from across 40 countries around the world each October.
