Babylon FD Delivers Special Surprise For Local 4-Year-Old
Just in time for his birthday, the local 4-year-old with spinal muscular atrophy received a special trip to Disney.

BABYLON, NY - A 4-year-old Babylon boy got a special surprise just in time for his birthday with help from the local fire department.
On Friday, the entire Babylon Village Fire Department stopped by the home of Bear Bonner, who has spinal muscular atrophy, to help deliver the good news that the organization Baking For Memories arranged for him to visit Disney.
The family will be traveling to Florida for a special "skip all the lines" trip to all the local parks.

In addition, members of the fire department presented Bonner with a helmet and firefighter’s uniform with his name on it.
Babylon Mayor Ralph Scordino even swore him in as an official junior firefighter.
