Babylon Lions Club To Host Summer BBQ to Fight Hunger

BABYLON, NY — Long Islanders will soon have the chance to enjoy a summer evening while making a difference.

The Babylon Lions Club will be hosting its 9th Annual Summer BBQ to Fight Hunger and Help People in Need on Friday, July 29, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Gilbert C. Hanse Municipal Pool.

Located at Babylon Village's "jewel on the bay", participants can enjoy a fun-filled evening. The event will feature a DJ, raffles and games for the kids, and a feast of burgers, sausage and peppers, hot dogs, salads, ice cream, beer, wine and soda.

The pool will be open for swimming with lifeguards on duty. All proceeds will benefit local food pantries and "help our neighbors in need."

Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for children 6 to 10 years old. Children ages 5 and under are free.
