Babylon Man Caught Trying To Burglarize Nassau County Home: PD
Residents called 911 after the 53-year-old was seen knocking on doors and trying to open the back door of one of the home, police say.
GREAT NECK ESTATES, NY - A Babylon man was arrested after he was seen trying to burglarize a home in Great Neck Estates on Tuesday, according to Nassau County Police.
At about 8:55 a.m., residents called the Great Neck Estates Police Department after seeing a suspicious man knocking on doors on Hickory Drive.
When officers responded, they saw 53-year-old Richard Caruso in the area, police said. After an investigation, they found he was seen entering the backyard of one of the homes and tried to open a sliding door, police said.

He was then placed under arrest without further incident.
Caruso was charged with second degree attempted burglary and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
