Babylon Pet Of The Week: Kairo
Kairo, an "affectionate" dog who loves to play fetch, is Babylon Animal Shelter's Pet of the Week. Will you be his forever home?
BABYLON, NY — Kairo, an estimated three or four years old pit bull terrier mix, is Babylon Animal Shelter's Pet of The Week.
This brown-and-white boy arrived at the shelter on Feb. 3, and has a history of having several owners in a few different states.
According to volunteers, Kairo loves to play with toys and have a game of fetch. He also is affectionate and enjoys his one-on-one downtime with his friends.

"We know he may not be the easiest adoption out of the shelter, but he shows staff and volunteers that he deserves the chance," the shelter said.
Kairo cannot be adopted to a home with other pets. He can also be an escape artist and great care would have to be taken in his ability to open door handles and latches.

But when all of the distractions are out of sight, Kairo shows his true loving side.
The shelter asks anyone interested in Kairo to call advance before coming to meet him, so that adoption staff can accommodate you at a time where you can have his undivided attention.
