BABYLON, NY — Lola, a three-year-old, black-and-white pit bull terrier mix, is the Babylon Animal Shelter's Pet of The Week.
This "nice girl" arrived at the shelter on November 18, 2021.
Volunteers describe Lola as a "playful, friendly girl" but "as luck would have it, nice girls always seem to finish last."

Lola has little exposure to life outside her previous home, and everything is something new, the shelter said.
"While she came in being strong on leash to pull and in being vocal, she has made tremendous improvement with training and routine," the shelter wrote.

Lola will needs lots of exercise daily and this coupled with continued training will be the key to her success, staffers said. She has not fared well in the busy shelter environment and "could really use a break, they added.
