Babylon Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Twig
Twig is a young, male rabbit who is "incredibly patient" when being held. Will you be his forever home?

BABYLON, NY — Twig, white, American mix rabbit, is Babylon Animal Shelter's Adoptable Pet of The Week.
Twig was a part of a group of bunnies dumped at a local park and came to the shelter on May 24.
"Lucky that he was caught by us and not left to fall victim to hawks, fox, dogs, ticks, fleas, dehydration, heat exhaustion, and then dropping winter temperatures," the shelter said.

Twig is incredibly patient with being handled, since volunteers assume his socialization was little in his upbringing and "irresponsible abandonment."
He will need continued time and handling to help him learn to be a part of a loving home, volunteers said.

Twig still waits to be adopted along with his park friend Belle.
His adoption fee is $35 cash. Twig is neutered and microchipped, the shelter said.
The shelter said it is overwhelmed with the number of bunnies to be cared for in a shelter environment.
"Bunnies are not just a caged pet, so please do your research for what is involved in owning a bunny. The shelter staff will be more than happy to discuss bunny care and you can also email the shelter for the literature that is provided with bunny adoptions."
