BABYLON, NY — Five students in the Babylon Union Free School District have been recognized for their artistic talent, advancing to the state level of the PTA Reflections contest, a national program that celebrates student creativity across multiple disciplines.

Kira Kubat and Chloe Maebara were honored in the dance choreography category, Dylan Tourt was recognized in music composition, and Casey Crowley and Kaiyah Tacahashi earned distinction in the visual arts category. In addition to advancing to the state level, Maebara and Tacahashi received the New York State PTA’s Award of Merit.

This year’s theme, “I Belong,” invited students to explore identity, community, and connection through original works of art. Submissions were evaluated based on creativity, artistic technique, and interpretation of the theme.
