Babylon UMC Nursery School Visits the Fire Island Lighthouse

BABYLON, NY (July 20, 2015) – The Babylon United Methodist Church Nursery School visited the Fire Island Lighthouse this past April. “This field trip was important step for our four-year-old classes who are going to Kindergarten in the fall. We were able to reinforce our lessons on bus safety, visit a historic landmark, and learn about life on Fire Island years ago,” said administrator Lisa Murray. “We are grateful to the Fire Island Lighthouse volunteers who provided age appropriate demonstrations for our children.”

The school, now in its 43rd year, serves 152 families. The school offers programs for 2 ½, 3 and 4 year olds in age-appropriate learning settings.
