Babylon UMC Nursery School Tours the Babylon Village Main Fire House
BABYLON, NY (July 31, 2015) – The Babylon United Methodist Church Nursery School recently toured the Main Fire House in Babylon Village. “All of our Nursery School classes visit the Fire House annually. The volunteer fire fighters take time out of their week to teach the children about fire safety, how their equipment works and assign “homework” to the children. They instruct the children to remind their parents to practice fire drills at home and change the batteries in the smoke detectors, ” said administrator Lisa Murray.
The school, now in its 43rd year, serves 152 families. The school offers programs for 2 ½, 3 and 4 year olds in age-appropriate learning settings.
