Babylon Village Election Results: Szabo Tops Hoffman For Trustee Seat
Jeff Szabo received 511 votes to defeat challenger Jordan Hoffman, who received 256 votes, according to village election results.
BABYLON VILLAGE, NY — Jeff Szabo has won the Babylon Village trustee election, defeating challenger Jordan Hoffman, according to the village hall.
Szabo received 511 votes, while Hoffman received 256 votes, the village clerk told Patch.
The election was held on Wednesday, March 18.

Szabo, the incumbent, was previously appointed to the board by Mayor Mary Adams.
A longtime Babylon Village resident, Szabo brings more than two decades of public service and leadership experience to the role. He has served as chief executive officer of the Suffolk County Water Authority since 2010, where he has overseen operational and technology initiatives, according to village information.

Prior to that, Szabo served as Suffolk County deputy county executive and chief of staff. He also created and serves as chairman of the Long Island Commission for Aquifer Protection, which focuses on regional water quality and supply issues, and is chairman of the Central Pine Barrens Advisory Committee.
