Babylon's Annual Fair Canceled For 2020 Due To Coronavirus

The event typically takes place in September, but will not happen this year due to New York State restrictions regarding crowd sizes.

BABYLON VILLAGE, NY —A longtime Babylon tradition has unfortunately been canceled for 2020 due to the coronavirus. The Babylon Beautification Society recently announced that the Annual Fair will not be happening this year due to New York State restrictions regarding crowd sizes.

However, in an effort to help local vendors, the Babylon Beautification Society will be publishing an online craft vendor directory for all those who enjoy the Annual Fair to contact fair vendors for their merchandise and crafts. The event is hopefully expected to return in 2021.

The event, which typically takes place in September, usually attracts between 40,000 to 50,000 attendees and over 300 vendors. The fair was completely sold out last year. The money from the event goes towards beautification projects around the village.
