BMGS Art Students Take Part in PTA Reflections Contest
Theme for the 2022-2023 Contest is 'Show Your Voice'
Three Babylon Memorial Grade School student artists are taking part in the national PTA Reflections Contest. The artists are 4th grader Alicia G, 5th grader Michael P. and 6th grader Mia P. They will join student artists from across the country participating in this long-running national program.
The theme for this year’s Reflections contest is “Show Your Voice.” Students in age groups ranging from Pre-K through high school can submit their completed work in the categories of dance choreography, music composition, film production, photography literature or visual arts. Alicia, Michael and Mia submitted their works in the visual arts category.
The Reflections contest draws more than 300,000 submissions and helps students explore their feelings through different forms of expression all while building confidence in their artistic skills. The winners of the contest are announced in May.
