BMGS Student-Musician Selected for Prestigious All-County Festival

Babylon Memorial Grade School student-musician Lena Chaberek has been selected to participate in the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association (SCMEA) All-County Festival this fall. This honor recognizes Lena’s dedication and talent on the tenor saxophone.

Lena has earned the top position for her instrument in SCMEA’s Middle School Jazz Ensemble. Her selection was based on her previous NYSSMA scores and her music teacher's recommendation. The group will perform at the SCMEA All-County Jazz Festival at Miller Place High School in November, marking Lena as one of the top student jazz musicians in her age group.
