TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — Babylon Town officials announced recently that cameras will be added to all commercial garbage trucks in the area, according to a report in Newsday.
The cameras, which costs over $8,000 for installation and $3,900 for annual maintenance, will allow for proof of dumpsters being emptied in real time, Newsday reports.
Within the Town of Babylon, Winter Bros., a West Babylon-based company, is contracted to service the areas of Amityville, Babylon and Lindenhurst.
