Cultivating Kindness at Forest Avenue Elementary School
Forest Avenue held an assembly about cultivating kindness on Tuesday.
From West Babylon Schools: Forest Avenue Elementary School in the West Babylon School District held an assembly about cultivating kindness on Dec. 19. Sponsored by the school’s PTA, author and speaker Richard Specht spoke to the students about spreading kindness and paying it forward.
Specht donated a personalized copy of his book “A Little Rees Specht Cultivates Kindness” to the Forest Avenue school library. The Rees Specht Life Foundation was created in memory of Specht’s son Rees. Since Specht presented to the school on Rees’ birthday, Forest Avenue created and donated birthday boxes to Birthday Wishes of Long Island in the spirit of paying it forward.
