Dog Missing After Robert Moses Crash

Firefighters got the dog out of the car, but the pup ran away Friday night. Have you seen Remi?

A dog went missing after running away from a car crash off the Robert Moses State Parkway on Friday night.

The dog, named Remi, got loose while firefighters were taking him out of the car.

He is described as a "shy puppy" and will run away. He has a black collar with studs his ID tag fell off.

The crash occurred near Field 2 by the pitch and putt golf course. Photos from the scene show the car perched on top of rocks near the edge of the bay. West Islip firefighters rescued a woman and child from the car.

The driver, 40-year-old Raquel Warburton, of West Babylon, was charged with felony DWI under Leandra's Law and endangering the welfare of a child. Warburton was arraigned Saturday and is being held on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. She's due back in court next month. Newsday reported that Warburton is an NYPD detective. She's been suspended without pay.
