DWI Charge For Long Island Man Who Crashed SUV, Caused Pickup Truck To Flip: Cops
The pickup truck landed on the guardrail; both drivers were treated for minor injuries at Good Samaritan Hospital, police said.
WEST BABYLON, NY — A Dix Hills man was charged with driving while intoxicated after the SUV he was driving crashed into a pickup truck, causing it to flip over onto a guardrail in West Babylon on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
Madison Cedeno, 41, was driving a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer eastbound on Sunrise Highway, at Hubbards Path, when the SUV struck a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck at around 8:40 p.m., police said, adding that it overturned and came to rest on top of the guardrail.
The Mercury struck the guardrail and the center median, police said.

Responding highway patrol officers determined Cedeno was drunk, took him into custody, and then transported him to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries and released, according to police.
The man driving the Chevrolet was taken to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

Cedeno was held overnight at the 3rd Precinct for arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on Monday.
