FBI Searching For Human Remains In Babylon Village
FBI agents were seen looking in a wooded area on Thursday morning.

BABYLON VILLAGE, NY - FBI agents were seen searching for remains in the Babylon Village area on Thursday morning, a FBI spokesperson confirmed.
"It’s clear from the condition of the remains that they’ve been at the site for an extended period of time, and will require forensic testing to determine the identity," FBI Public Affairs Specialist Amy J. Thoreson told Patch in an email. "We don’t have any information to suggest this is associated with an imminent threat to the safety of the community in Babylon."
The FBI officials were searching in the marshy land by the LIRR tracks near North Railroad Avenue between Livingston Avenue and Ralph Avenue, according to a report in Newsday.
