Fire Breaks Out at West Babylon Church

Firefighters battled a fire at a West Babylon church Tuesday night.

A fire reportedly broke out in the altar area of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church located at 200 Great East Neck Road around 9:45 p.m.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control within a half hour. No word yet on what caused the fire or the extent of damage to the church.
