Incoming Seventh-Graders Get Orientated at Babylon Junior-Senior High School

Incoming seventh-graders at Babylon Junior-Senior High School went back to school early as they participated in the school’s annual orientation program on Aug. 28.
Welcomed by Principal Al Cirone and members of the student council, the newest members of the school were given a brief overview of the rules and regulations, as well as introduced to a number of activities to participate in and clubs to join. Following the welcome, the seventh-graders met with the student council members who provided them with their schedules, locker combinations and a tour of the building.

While the students were practicing opening their lockers and getting the lay of the land, Cirone covered such policies as the morning drop-off routine, the importance of the attendance policy and the close-knit environment that exists in the school with parents. He also shared a few tips on how the parents can help their children transition smoothly to the junior-senior high school and the various support services in place.
